Our journey started on December 2, 2023, at Galveston Beach!
Our relationship did not come without its woes. We had limited time together at the start, as I ventured into New York City.
Nonetheless, we found time for one another, facetiming each other, playing games, and eventually exploring the city together.
Unsurprisingly, food seemed to be one of the main avenues for us to connect :D.
We even had to go through the summer without being in-person together. Yet, this still did not hold us back from connecting to one another.
After eight long and strenuous months, we reunited in-person. We started playing pickleball/ping pong/video games, baking desserts, and enjoying our time together more!
We start the count at one year; we will continue counting the years from here!
Our journey continued with you visiting my home in Mississippi! I got to introduce you to my whole family, hometown friends, and share parts of my childhood with you.
Then, I spent a White Christmas with your family in Texas! Of course, we built a sizeable snowman with Pudding.
Moving back to our last semester(s) at university, we started cooking more, babysitting Pudding, baking treats, and enjoying our limited time together.
We even got to dress up and look delicious together for a formal and our graduation :tongue_out:!
Our adventure did not end there, though; we traveled to your family origin: Taiwan!
As of any other place, we enjoyed lots of yummy food together! These are only a snippet of some of my favorites from Taiwan.
Only beaten by yours, the beauty of Taiwan was unparalleled. On top of the night markets, we got to see gorgeous waterfalls, lantern-filled cities, and more!
Afterwards, we spent a lot of time apart; you started Medical School, and I began travels with my university roommates, eventually starting work as well. Nonetheless, we continue to persevere despite our busy schedules, and now, we are celebrating the second year in our relationship in Houston. This is the only start of the years-count for us :smiling_cat:!
